Hello and welcome to the Year 4 web page.
Year 4 teachers this year are: Mrs Neilan, Miss Forrest, Miss Jenkins and Miss Cullen.
We are supported in class by Mrs Moyle, Ms Debar and Mrs Taylor.
Here we are - the half way point of the year! Hasn’t time flown!
We have had an exciting start to Term 4 with our annual book week. The whole school focussed on pirates! The children learn, innovate and invent their own dragon-themed fiction text before doing a non-chronological report about them as the term progresses. During book week there were a range of enriching activities such as the swap around read and visitors to the school. Thank you to parents who supported and watched our showcase on Friday!
Our ‘Should we stop eating chocolate?’ topic will be drawing to a close after making our own chocolate and making a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch to market it. Following this, we will visit the M Shed and enjoy our own chocolate treat. Our global citizenship topic after this will be ‘Conservation’.
Our PE sessions will continue to be on Wednesdays and Thursdays with a focus on Handball and OAA (Outdoor and Adventurous Activities). Please make sure your child has the appropriate PE kit for indoor and outdoor sessions as we will hopefully be able to do some outdoor sessions as the weather improves.
